Aimée & Samir

Director Catherine van Campen creates a cinematic portrait of graphic novelist Aimée de Jongh for the Dutch arts program Uur van de Wolf (NTR).

Aimée de Jongh (1988) is an award-winning graphic novel author and animator from the Netherlands, whose books are published in more than 30 countries. With roots in the Dutch East Indies, themes such as history, migration, and human relationships frequently recur in her work. For the documentary, we follow Aimée during the research for her new book.

The documentary is expected to be broadcast in December 2025.
