Funding granted for new production Koempels

We are happy to announce a new production has received funding for artistic development. The new project with the working title KOEMPELS is a music film that addresses the theme of loyalty; it is set at the time of mine closures in South Limburg in the 1970s. Because of this important historical setting, focusing on the closure of the last mines and the effect this has on local communities, this feature film is especially important for us as Limburg-based producers.

KOEMPELS is a production of Pupkin Film and Elbe Stevens Films, with a script by Jean-Paul Nelissen and Sophie van der Pol. Director André van Duren (left) and art director Alfred Schaaf (right) have already been on the hunt for the best locations, as can be seen on this image.
